The third round of the 2026 ACU British Championship travelled over the Welsh border to the physically-gruelling and highly-technical Monster Mountain (Mega Monster) track yesterday, Sunday the 21st of June 2026.With its sweeping straights and steep climbs, the Nora-MX organised British round, at Merthyr Tydfil, kept all riders focussed and ready for any challenges thrown their way.
Reigning British Champ Walker took a first and third race win and, having experienced mechanical problems, managed to nurse his quad home to fourth place in the second moto. This was enough to give him the overall and increase his championship lead to 52 points.
With multi British Champ Mark McLernon a non-starter for this third round, Dafydd Davies, Tom Day and Chad Beevers all rode hard to each move up a place in the Championship standings. Davies went second, third and third, despite a heavy crash in the early stages of race three. Day was on the second step of the podium after securing a third and two seconds and Beevers was on fire when he scooped the win in the second race to finish fifth overall. Consistent riding from Emma Wray saw her in a brilliant fourth overall.
