TEAMS GB & IRELAND SET SIGHTS ON QXON PODIUM

September 26th, 2024.

The Quadcross racing season draws to a close this weekend with the 2024 edition of the Quadcross of Nations, which returns to the Czech Republic and the iconic Loket circuit, for the second time in three years.

It’s set to be an action-packed weekend, with 54 riders from 18 nations making the trip. Team USA has won the QXoN five times in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023, making it the most successful team in the history of the event. Joel Hetrick, who will run the #1 plate, has been part of the Team USA winning team four times. His teammates are #2 Brandon Hoag, who will be making his QXoN debut and 12-times AMA champion, #3 Bryce Ford.

Second last year on home turf, Team Italy will be represented by Nicolo Roagna, Simone Mastronardi and 2023 European champion, Patrick Turrini.

Team Ireland and Argentina tied on 46 points in 2023. Argentina was declared third, denying Ireland a place on the podium. Gordon Gilchrist and his team of Mark McLernon, Kyle Murphy, and Paul Edgar will be determined to claim one of the top three positions this time around.

Team GB’s manager Karl Robinson will be confident that his riders, reigning British and European champion Harry Walker, Vice British and NETT Quad champion Dafydd Davies and British U21 champion Chad Beevers, who finished third in the British championship, will be on top form at Loket. They’ll be going all out to improve on Team GB’s fifth place in 2024.

Gates open at 7am on both Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of September.
