STAND BY US – WALKER BROS CLEAN UP AT NORA-MX

October 7th, 2020.

The PAR Homes Yamaha backed sibling pairing of Harry and Alfie Walker stamped their authority in their respective classes of the 2020 Nora-MX Quad Championship – effectively THE 2020 British QX Championship.

Unfortunately, the proposed seven-round series was cut short thanks to horrendous weather conditions. However, the club was the only competitive UK off-road championship that managed to run six rounds in 2020, and the Walkers were out front.

In adding another British championship title to his tally, Alfie Walker proved to be a formidable player in the official ACU Clubman championship. He won 14 races from 16 starts and, with a commanding 41-point lead, the 16-year-old’s achievement in his first adult year was extraordinary.

Elder brother Harry Walker was equally outstanding, taking the UK’s leading domestic series Pro Class win for the first time. He had previously contested the FIM European series in 2018 and 2019 and so 2020 was the first time he could focus on the UK championship. He finished with a commanding 87-point lead.

A clearly delighted dad/mechanic/chief bottle washer Stu Walker said; “Throughout the 30-year history of the Nora-MX club championships, a pair of brothers have never finished with a 1-1 in the top two classes. My boys have now changed that!

“We have had terrific support from PAR Homes, Yamaha, ATVs R Us, Duncan Racing, PEP and many, many more including Lee at BRP imports for the Kenny clothing keeping them looking good, and Edd at Angry GFX. The pedigree of products, support and ingredients from experience gained is proving – with two dedicated individuals – to be the team to beat.

“It’s been a strange season and I personally thank everyone for the continued support during these difficult times. We race using the best available products and with the best people. Here’s to a trouble-free 2021. “
