QUAD RIDER SPOTLIGHT – LOUIE HOLT

November 30th, 2023.

With the 2023 season over and riders looking forward to the challenges of 2024, we’re running a series of Quad Rider Spotlights, starting with the British 250cc Open Champion … Louie Holt!

“I moved up from the Air Cooled 250 class to contest the 250 open class with the Nett Quad Club and the British Championship alongside Nora-MX on a Honda TRX/CRF 250 with Team KIK ATV Racing.

The season went well from the beginning. I gelled with the new quad right away, having good races and taking some overall wins in both Championships.

In August we went to France to compete in the Pont de Vaux (PDV) Youth Race. After qualifying in pole position, a mistake in the first race cost me the overall victory, but I still managed to win the last race and finished third overall. The experience was amazing, and I can't wait to go back next year.

I finished second in the Nett Quad Championship and was second going into the final round of the British at Culham.

It all came down to the last race on Sunday for the British. I managed to stay calm and take the race win to clinch the British 250 Open Championship, which was amazing!

So, looking forward to 2024 … I will be riding in the KIK Team again on the same Honda machine but moving into the adult classes, although we haven't decided which ones yet.

I am looking forward to again competing at PDV, hopefully in the Kenny contest this time.

I want to say a massive thank you to Keith at KIK for this year, and to everyone for their support and words of advice throughout the season. Roll on 2024!”

Well done Louie – sounds like you’ve had a great year and loads to look forward to! [Quad Mag]
