BRITISH QX – LIMPING TO THE START LINE

April 7th, 2021.

The ACU has confirmed that seven riders have now registered for this year’s British Quad Championship, with a further four signed up to the National Experts.

Both championships will run together as one race, however, with just 11 riders pledged to ride, the 2021 running of the premier series is somewhat uncertain.

In a conversation with the ACU’s motocross secretary, we were advised that, while other riders have expressed an interest, it’s not enough to guarantee the future of the championships. A minimum of 20 to 25 quad racers are required to commit, and turn up to the events, to make it viable.

Registrations will be held open until the 18th of April, at which point a decision will be made.

Riders interested in contesting the British or National Experts should contact the ACU to register and pay the bond of £70 for the main British Championship, and £40 for the National Expert. The bond is refundable if the championships don’t proceed.

The proposed 2021 British Quad Championship calendar is;
30th May - Dean Moor, NETT
27th June - Armthorpe, NETT
25th July - Cusses Gorse, Waterlooville MCC
1st August - Little Silver, Nora MX
19th Sept – Wroxton, Nora MX

Regs are available from Sonia Goggin by emailing sonia@acu.org.uk or call her Tuesdays to Thursdays on 01788 566404.
