BEEVERS IS BACK ON TRACK

April 12th, 2026.

Things have been a little quiet on the quad racing front for Chad Beevers. He was last seen in competitive racing when he (with Dafydd Davies and Harry Walker) contested the 2024 QXoN, representing Team GB.

His return from injury – after 617 days - at the opening round of the British Quadcross Championship, with Nora-MX at Culham, last weekend was pretty impressive as the former Under-21 Champ blasted his way to the podium with third overall.

Quad-Online caught up with a delighted Beevers to find out more ….

Quad: Congratulations on your podium finish at the first round of the 2026 British Quadcross Championship. We understand you’ve had quite a lot of time away from racing as the last we heard of you was when you represented the UK at the QXoN at the end of 2024.

CB: Since the Nations I sustained a 12-6 o'clock labrum tear (Quad – this represents a significant injury covering half of the shoulder socket). This was causing my shoulder to constantly dislocate.

Quad: You were on the rider list for the 2025 British Championship, but we didn’t see you line up.

CB: I had to sit out of the season at the last minute to undergo surgery and get it all properly sorted.

Quad: How long have you been back riding since your injury?

CB: I first got back on a bike on the 28th of December just around a sand turn track.

Quad: How did it feel lining up on the 2026 British QX Championship start line?

CB: To be back behind a British gate was a good feeling after the uncertainty of my shoulder being strong enough to be able to push for three 20+2 motos.

Quad: You must have been over the moon to get on the podium at the first round at Culham – how did it feel?

CB: To podium the first round, was a shock considering I always feel like I struggle to perform in the opening round. The fact I podiumed really was the icing on the cake. I’ve spent a huge amount of time in my long off-season with training and preparing in a different style, etc. It was brilliant to see it all pay off and a great place to build from for the remainder of the year!

Quad: What are your plans for the rest of the season?

CB: My plans for the rest of the season are to just to have fun racing again. Of course some good finishes would be a bonus.

I’d really like to thank everyone who has been in my corner. Especially Mum and Dad and my physio Clare, for putting up with me over the past year and through all the days when I didn’t want to show up and commit. I’d also like to thank every person that stood by me in this not-so-straightforward healing process! A big shout out to Airelite Racing and Cordona Quick Shifters too!

Thanks Chad and good luck for the 2026 quad racing season!
