SKEGGY ENTRIES OPEN!

June 7th, 2017.

Riders looking to contest the popular AMCA-organised Skegness Beach Race on the 4th of November can enter online now and get an "early bird" discount.

Now in its seventh year, the Skegness event continues to grow in popularity, with record entries in all classes in 2016 including over 50 in the two-hour quad race. Big crowds are also a major feature thanks to free entry for spectators.

Riders in all classes enjoy the event as the course is built to be fun and rideable for all abilities, with lap times around six minutes for average riders. However, it still attracts its fair share of 'star' names, with previous winners including Oli Sansom, Stefan Murphy and Bailey Edwards.

Two big solo races featuring 100-plus rider fields - one on Saturday and another on Sunday - add to the entertainment. Apparently, the bars and nightclubs of the east coast holiday resort are also rather popular with the quad fraternity!

Last year's race was won by Sansom, ahead of Jamie Morgan and Harry Miller, with both Aaron Pole and Ant Barrett also in the mix earlier on. All the riders, apart from Morgan actually led at one stage!

Full details of the race and how to enter can be found on the AMCA website at www.amca.uk.com - under the tab 'Beach Racing'.
