REID & SANSOM SHARE BRITISH QX WINS; MCLERNON TAKES OVERALL

June 2nd, 2019.

Quad racing ace Justin Reid took the first and second race wins at today’s fourth round of the Cromwell Trucks British QX Championship, hosted by Nora-MX, at Mildenhall, Ipswich. Oli Sansom put in a blistering performance to win the last premier-class moto, and put himself back in the British championship quad-racing frame.

Mark McLernon again proved that consistency pays dividends by taking all three second places to win the overall on the day, and extend his championship lead to 57 points over second-placed British QX, and leading U21 competitor, Harry Walker.

Dean Dillon took a hard-fought third place in race one, with a hard-charging multi-British champion wildcard rider in the form of Paul Winrow taking third in the second moto, and George Callaway claiming that third podium spot in the last British QX race.

Top three overall positions on the day went to 1. McLernon, 2. Reid, 3. Callaway.

Top three championship positions after four rounds are; 1. McLernon 271, 2. Walker 214, 3. Reid 206.
