RAW4 – DOWN BUT NOT OUT

August 12th, 2019.

Due to an unprecedented uber-low number of quad entries, Wayne Braybrook of Raw Enduro has regrettably cancelled this weekend’s proposed quad enduro in Lancashire.

Despite several announcements and reminders, take up for the four-hour quad enduro has been down (eight entries at the last count) and Braybrook was left with no alternative but to cancel the four-wheel element. He will instead open up the whole day to the escalating list of solo riders eager for a full-on day of multi-terrain enduro riding.

“It is such a shame,” said Braybrook. “The quad riders are a good bunch but for some reason they didn’t want to commit to this weekend. It takes a lot of hard work and effort to accommodate quads as it involves plenty of planning and clearing routes to allow the wider machines through. With the solos, we can simply fit them through trees, fences, etc! We needed to make the decision today in order to give ourselves enough time to get everything sorted.”

However, all is not lost – at the moment! Braybrook is rescheduling the RAW4 event for Saturday, the 28th of September at Driffield, East Yorkshire.

“Rather than an outright cancellation, I just want to give the RAW4 scene another roll of the dice,” explained Braybrook. “We have a brilliant quad facility at Driffield, and we hope to see loads of 4-wheel lads and lasses there. Our absolute cut-off date for entries will be 23rd September. The Monday prior to the event is our track recce day, so for the quads to be included in our race weekend, we simply ask for five days’ notice so we can plan a great event.

“We truly hope this alternative date will be suitable for everyone.”
