GREAT 8 UPDATE

August 18th, 2017.

The QRA has suffered an annoying rash of online grief about the confirmed dates for the annual 2017 QRA GREAT 8. The epic weekend has been slated to take place be at High Post, Amesbury in Wiltshire on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of September since April, but some have taken umbrage with the fact that it clashes with the QX of Nations in Italy on the same weekend.

QRA organiser Tony Nash explains; "There's not a lot we can do about it really. Obviously, some riders and supporters have committed to the Nations event and we fully understand and support that decision, but it's too late in the year to find another date and venue, so sadly they will have to miss out on the Great 8 this year."

For this year a new format will see the main Great 8, eight-hour adult race taking place on the Saturday with a floodlit evening race programme and the legendary Great 8 Party night.

The Sunday will see a relaxed start with Youth, Mini Bikes, Evo and Big Kids events.

Full details will be posted at the new www.qrauk.com website, or you can email great8@qrauk.com for updates and information.
