FRENCH SAND SERIES DATES CONFIRMED

August 16th, 2018.

After a summer like this year, the thought of standing on Le Touquet beach in the wind and rain seems a way off, but the 2019 date is confirmed, so get planning!

The three-day event will run from the 1st to the3rd of February 2019, with the quad race in its traditional Saturday slot. As usual, it will also qualify as the sixth and final round of the prestigious, winter-based French Sand Championship.

The series kicks off on the 20th of October at Berck-sur-Mer, which once again clashes with the Weston Beachrace.

It then goes to Loon Plage on the 27th of October, St Leger de Balson on the 1st of December, Hossegor on the 8th of December, Grayan-et-Hopital on the 12th of January, before finishing at le Touquet. The size and quality of the entry effectively makes its Europe’s premier quad series now.

All the meetings are run superbly, have a big solo race on the Sunday as well and are well worth a visit. However, if you are thinking of going, the hotels around the events fill up fast, so it is worth booking early.

Details of the series and locations can be found at www.courses-sur-sable.fr
