BUMPER FIELD FOR BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE

September 22 2016.

The sixth and final round of the ATVs Only British QX Championship at Canada Heights on the 2nd of October is set to have the biggest field of the year, thanks to an influx of talented youngsters taking up Wildcard rides.

Alongside the series regulars will be Brad Frost, Tom Chell, Luke Davies and Callum Bates, plus overseas riders Marc de Vries and Zdenek Polacek, and Geoff Otway.

Series Manager Rob McDonnell said: "Despite the usual drop-outs that we get at this time of year, it looks like the grid will be full. Lots of riders want to race Canada Heights as it's such a good track and there are a few riders who want to try-out before a full Championship campaign next season.

"It's always interesting to see how the youngsters get on. Last year Dafydd Davies made his debut in the series at Canada Heights and put in a fine showing. This year he's won the Rookie Cup!"

At the top of the table, the title is still up for grabs, with Mark McLernon and Paul Holmes split by 36 points with 75 available from the three 25 minutes races.

The meeting also features the final round of the British Sidecarcross Championship, plus solo support.

Canada Heights is just off the M25 at postcode BR8 8DX.
