A later date for the QRA's annual Great 8 has not restricted entries and the 2016 event starts this Friday (16th) and runs through to Sunday at a new central venue near Penkridge in Staffordshire, just a mile from junction 13 of the M6.

The event opens on Friday afternoon when the competitors can park up in an international GP style pit lane,and head to the Great 8 marquee for documentation followed by a social evening at the bar.

On Saturday the Great 8 Four-Hour Youth Quad event kicks things off and then, as the events starts its final hour, the Mini Quads event starts and joins in on a smaller course, but sharing the finish line.

The Evo Quads and ATC machines also go on display in a special area by the marquee before their event.

Sunday is the day for the 12th QRA Great 8 Eight Hour Quad Endurance event, with last year's winning team of Bailey Edwards and Harry Walker split following Bailey's road accident earlier this week. Harry is hoping to sign up a new team-mate in an effort to defend the number one plate.
